The Lord's Prayer - part
6
After this manner therefore
pray ye:
Our Father which art in
heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done in earth,
as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13
These debts are different from having our sins forgiven.
Salvation is a free gift.
The only requirement for Salvation is - Believe and
Invite Jesus in.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:9
These debts are the growing part - mature every day.
If baby is born but never grows, something is wrong.
If we as Children of God do not mature, something
is wrong.
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin
against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto
him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Matthew 18:21-22
We cannot expect to grow until we begin to forgive.
And God can tell if we mean it or just say it.
We may fool people but we cannot fool God.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged
sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of
the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of
the heart. Hebrews 4:12
