The Lord's Prayer - part 5

After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.  Matthew 6:9-13

In other words, pray for our needs not our wants

We are always wanting something we don't have.

Things, money, power, control, or ....
I think just because we don't have it, not because we need it.
~
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 1 Timothy 6:8

We would be much happier if we could be thankful for what we have
instead always looking at what we don't have.
 ~
But godliness with contentment is great gain.   1 Timothy 6:6
 ~
Our shoes may be old and worn, be thankful we have feet to put them on.

If we only ate what we needed we would be much healthier!
Maybe we should pray:
Give us this day the ability to control our appetite.
That includes more than food.

God has A Plan for my Life!
Lord help me remember that!
