After this manner therefore pray ye: Our
Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is
the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matthew
6:9-13
The Lord's PrayerPart 2
Thy Kingdom come.
-
Have we become part of God's Kingdom?
-
Or are we still trying to rule our own Kingdom?
Thy will be done on earth as it is
in heaven.
Meaning of that phrase:
-
We have to find His will for us.
-
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
-
We have to be willing to do His
will.
-
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall
he also reap. Galatians 6:7
-
We have to trust that God really
does have a plan for our lives.
-
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work
in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians
1:6
-
Above all "Remember how much God
loves us!"
Amazing things can
