Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Matthew
5:4
Just look around, in the midst of our biggest storm we can find
blessings if we look!
Rephrased: Still blessed we are even when we mourn (it's not a
punishment,
it's a part of life) And when we mourn we WILL be comforted!
It's a promise!
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count
slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should
perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
We cannot proclaim how great God is unless we have walked
through hard places, unless we have experienced His promises.
We could but who would believe us?
We wouldn't ask a person with no pain, how to deal
with pain.
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my
sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing
praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto
thee for ever. Psalm 30:11-12
We need to change
our focus from the mourning to the comforted!
