Be of the Attitude of Humble

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3
To rephrase that:  "It will go well for us if we don't have a superior attitude, for we shall receive the presence of God."

I'll just do it myself!
If we think we are better than everybody else, or that we don't need anybody, that's when we are in trouble.

Poor does not mean money, but poor as in humble.  It says poor in Spirit!

Can we trust in God rather than their own strength?
We might even be able to do it,
but it would be easier with help.
And less times we have to redo it.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10

Janie's version: When I am weak, I allow God to flow through me, and God is strong.

The love of money is the root of evil.
Not the money.

Having money is not the problem, it's when money controls us.
If money separates us from God and family, it is in control,
or if we spend all our time trying to get more.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 1 Timothy 6:8
