Point Them to God
Let God do the Rest
Pointing out sin is not our job, that's God's job. If
we see a person in the midst of sin, we need to tell them God loves them
just as they are, let God take care of the sin. We don't know, their
heart may be clean, maybe they have just found God. And if not, pointing out their sin won't show God's love!
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make
clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full
of extortion and excess. Matthew 23:25
If we point out sin we are being a hypocrite, because
we are judging.
We might end up with an attitude that could even
get between us and God.
Judge not, that ye be not judged. Matthew 7:1
God tells us to take care of ourselves, He will take
care of others.
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in
my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation
with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12
When we judge, we sound like a bunch of kids, saying
Daddy look at what he's doing! - You know Daddy told us not to do that,
I'm telling!
