Protection not
Punishment
Jonah
Jonah was not in the belly of the whale for punishment,
but for protection.
God was not done with him yet, and he could not live
in the water.
That's why God created a big fish for him, to protect
him.
And he needed a quiet place to think!
Joseph
Joseph was first sold into slavery to get him to
Egypt,
then was thrown in prison to protect him until the
time was right.
Our Situation?
Is our situation to keep us from straying too far
from the plan God has for us?
Is God training us for our next step?
Sometimes He has to put us in a situation to keep
us still!
A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth
his steps.
