God Doesn't Use A Ruler!

  • God's love has no requirements.
  • We are the ones who think we need to measure up.
  • Sometimes what we think we need to measure up to is not even there.
  • We don't measure our children to a ruler, why would God?
  • We need to be who we are, not who we think we should be.

We need to figure out where we need to be, get rid of the ruler.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.  Philippians 2:12

Everybody's measure will be different.

If we need a guideline use this one.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.  Mark 12:30-31

If we could see ourselves through God's eyes.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.  1 Corinthians 13:12
