But we know holding a grudge, or being angry only
hurts us.
The other person doesn't care, and usually doesn't
even know.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them
that curse you,
do good to them that hate you, and pray
for them which
despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew
5:44
(I didn't say it, Jesus did)
So if every time we feel any ill toward anyone
or anything,
if we pray for them, they will have no hold on
us.

That doesn't always mean we will like them,
but they won't be between us and God.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about
with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and
the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the
race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1
If we only keep the good things,
they will help us run.
