The Day After

When we have a great Victory...
The day after (sometimes takes a week) is a huge let down.
We expect that feeling to last, but it usually doesn't.
It's back to normal and after all that normal seems lacking.

That is why the Children of Israel wondered in the wilderness for 40 years.
They kept forgetting Gods miracles, and go back to complaining.
~~~
I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God. Exodus 16:12
Then in the very next chapter
And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?  Exodus 17:3
 After 3 years of drought Elijah prayed down rain: 1 Kings 18:44
4 Verses later
But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. 1 Kings 19:4
It happened to them too, it must just be part of life!
So if we can recognize that, we know what battle to fight.
We need to remember this is our path,
fix our focus, and go back to one day at a time.
The song says Because He Lives I can face Tomorrow!
