Wisdom
|
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given
him. James 1:5 |
|
The old saying fits here too.
|
|
Give a man a fish he eats for a day
teach a man to fish he eats for life.
|
|
So often if God just fixed it for us we would
go right back again.
Because we might not remember how or why we got
here.
So most often God wants to teach us how.
|
|
Often if we asked for wisdom we would realize
what we were
asking for we don't really want, we would see
God has
something better. If we pay attention we
see God directing us.
|
If we learn to fly we won't need pushed
|
Solomon is a great example:
Because he did not ask selfishly, he was given
greatness!
And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou
hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies,
neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for
thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches,
and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been
before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. 2
