God's Plan and Promise

What we see as failure may be part of the plan.

A couple on their way to an appointment 200 miles from home had car trouble.  they pulled off the road into a station, the car was fine.  after doing this about 3 times and losing nearly an hour in time, the car was fine.  They drove on trying to make up some of the time. only to be told the road was closed.   Some 29 cars had had a pileup in the fog.
So failure to reach the appointment - or - stepping stone to protection?

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  Romans 8:28

Oh, what a mess I've made!

Failed relationship, marriage, financial troubles, illness, loneliness, or discontent?
(my failed marriage brought me to where I am today!)
Since we know God can make it GOOD, let's just LET HIM!
So failure - or - first day of the rest of our life?

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.  Mark 14:36

Oh why am I here?

Even Jesus wanted to be in a different place, he pleaded!
But His love was so great he was willing to be the sacrifice.

Our way - or like Jesus - but what thou wilt

Are we willing to be a part of the plan?

But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter;
and we all are the work of thy hand.  Isaiah 64:8

Cry and complain - or pray - Show me thy will oh Lord

Words to the song playing written by Adelaide in 1907

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Search me and try me, Master, today!
Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now,
As in Thy presence humbly I bow.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Wounded and weary, help me, I pray!
Power, all power, surely is Thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Hold o’er my being absolute sway!
Fill with Thy Spirit ’till all shall see
Christ only, always, living in me.
