The Tender Side of God
God is wanting to comfort us.
We have to accept His comfort.
Jesus said: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father
will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things
to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26
God wants us to get past religion, and love Him.
God wants to protect us, not kick us when we are
down.
Jesus was talking to the church leaders who made strict rules for the
people to follow:
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them
that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together,
as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
Luke 13:34
God supplies a shadow for us
even when we don't think it's possible.
How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men
put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. Psalm 36:7
When we are in the midst of heartache,
climb up in God's lap and rest.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the
world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither
let it be afraid. John 14:27
