Salvation is a Gift

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.  Ephesians 2:8-9 Look at the picture, from the bottom up the right side shows the life of Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith Grace is - God's Riches at Christ's Expense We don't see the wind, but we know it's there. We feel it, but we can also feel God's Peace. We have to accept that it's true.

And that not of yourselves It is the gift of God Nothing we can do to earn a gift, our job is to accept it. Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.  Zechariah 4:6       Not of works, lest any man should boast. If we could earn it we would expect things, or we might say, see what I did. We can't clean up our life enough to be worthy, we can't do enough to earn it. We have to come to God just as we are.
