Goodness

That which is good or valuable or useful 
 Sometimes goodness is kind and gentle! 
Sometimes goodness seems mean and cruel. 
 
 
A child thinks a parent is mean when the parent won't let the child have everything they want. 
When in reality the parent is using goodness in training the child.

 Combine them all to get  Respect, obedience, and love
 
 
 
 
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: 
and he delighteth in his way. Psalms 37:23 
 
So If we believe Gods word (and we should) then the path we walk in is for our benefit!  (it's taken me 10 years to really believe that)
 
If we could bring ourselves to pray 
"Lord help me through it" instead of "Lord do it my way" 
we would find it is not nearly as rough of a road.

If we are on a journey, we cannot skip the parts we don't like.  So if we turn off our path because it is hard, then when we want to go again we have to start where we stopped before we can go on. 
 
 

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 
 
Things might not look good, but we have to use our faith, 
THEY WILL BE! 
 
 
A very good example:  We really want to go out for dinner to a certain place.  Our spouse says no. We beg, we try to bully, we start to sulk, they go to another place!  We say they are mean!  We are upset even angry, but we go anyway only to find the room full of friends and family all waiting to honor us! 
 
 

 

So use Goodness as part of a combination!
