We are Troubled
But don't let the trouble beat us.
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are
perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down,
but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body (remembering) the dying
of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in
our body. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10
Everywhere we look trouble of some sort is looming.
But God promised to be with us.

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired
to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee,
that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Luke 22:31-32
We need to put our name in there, instead of Simon.
Satan wants to destroy each of us.
Just imagine Jesus is praying for and loving us.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill,
and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might
have it more abundantly. John 10:10
As long as we belong to God the enemy can not
destroy us.
It might seem like it at times, but won't happen.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will
flee from you. James 4:7

In other words, Trust God to care of us, and Bluff. (pretend you are not
afraid)
The devil will leave you along if he thinks you are not bothered.
What fun is it to pick on someone who does not respond.
* I was always afraid of the dark, but because I
refused to let it show, my kids did not grow up being afraid of the dark*
