The 23rd Psalm
From the Shepherd's View
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence
of mine enemies:
Psalm 23:5
| Something to consider! |
Think of the table as the "table rock, or
Mesa" of the high country for Summer pasture.
|
| So just think: |
He prepares a dwelling place for us and stays
to protect us from our enemies.
|
The Shepherd goes before he takes his flock to put
out salt, to sprinkle the ground with vitamins and such for healthy
sheep, and to check for harmful plants. Finds the water source and
best feeding areas.
I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight:
I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder
the bars of iron: Isaiah 45:2
The Shepherd also has to leave the comforts
of home to make sure his sheep are cared for.
He cares for these why not you?
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one
of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your
head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many
sparrows. Luke 12:6 & 7
