He Restoreth my Soul Psalm 23:3a

God promised to restore us because He knew we would need it! ~ Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. Psalms 37:24

Reasons a sheep is cast down:

Their wool gets too long and makes them heavy when they lay down, or get their wool tangled in brush.

Ut oh, does that mean shearing is for our benefit??

They lay down in a low hollow and get comfortable and the hollow is to deep and they can't get up. they need help!

Does that mean don't get too comfortable or watch where we lay???

During lambing the sheep get so heavy when they lay down the weight shifts and they can't get up.

After every victory is an emotional low. Even Elijah called fire out of heaven, then ended up in the wilderness wishing to die!

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
