What do We Ask For?

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. 2 Chronicles 1:11-12

Do we ask for things just because we want them? Will we use it to benefit anyone but ourselves? After we get it then what? Does it just make us want something else?

All of us have given a gift just to have the receiver reject it, is that what we did with the Gift God gave us? We say we will when... Why not start today? Start small and build on it. God gave us this day, what will we do with it?

But if we need anything God says come. Don't think he won't answer.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

He may say yes, but because it wasn't the way we thought it should be we didn't see it.
He may say no because He has something better planned.
He may say in a minute, because at this moment we couldn't appreciate it.
But He will not ignore us!
He will give us peace to get past this spot.

The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3
