Better to Give
 
So often we get caught up with the thought of "what do I get."
Someone gets a great gift, or wins something.
Our instinct is to think, "why don't I ever get a break?"
We have to practice thinking, "Oh, I'm so happy for you!"
Until we can be excited for someone else we will never receive our own.
 
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.  Acts 20:35
 
If we want something we must first be willing to give.
We cannot outgive God.
The more we give the more we will get.
That works for more than money.
 
 
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.  Luke 6:38
How we give, is a guideline as to how we will be given to.
 
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.  Matthew 7:2
