The Least of These

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matthew 25:40

The smile we give.

The kindness we show.

The word of encouragement we give.

It seems to most people only the big things count in the work for God.

For every big job there is a full staff of the 'least of these' that make it happen.

But Jesus said if we do it for the least we have done it for Him.

It doesn't have to be a big thing!

It is the parent that has the ability to make a child feel special.

So that child can grow up and make someone else feel special.

We need to give as much to our family as we do to others.

Our family is not only a responsibility, but also a gift.

So often we don't see doing for family as one of the "least of these."

But they are! Do we treat them as good as we would a stranger?

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:2
