Nothing But Love

We hear people say as a Christian I can't...

Can't what?

If Jesus came to our house for a week would we take

Him with us to the places we go?

If not, that's not can't, that's don't want to.

~~~~~~~

If we are in a committed relationship it's possible to cheat.

But respect and loyalty along with love keep us from it!

That's not can't, that's don't want to.

When we fall in love with the master our desires change.

It is no longer I can't but it becomes I don't want to.

~~~~~~~

Then we hear people say as Christians we have to...

Have to what?

~~~~~~~

Give money? We can't buy our way into heaven!

~~~~~~~

Witness? Oh we do that whether we want to or not.

But what is the message we are giving?

Go to church?  What about all the people who can't? Are they lost?

~~~~~~~

{as a parent of grown children I like getting a phone call,

but when one of them take the time to stop by, oh special indeed!}

The Bottom line is:  Matthew 22:37-40

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Then we hear what about the original 10 commandants? they are all there! the first 4, how we treat God are in the first commandant.  The second 6, how we treat other people are in the second commandant.
