Occupy . . . Live

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. Luke 19:13
Each servant got 1 pound.  When the master returned, 1 had gained 10 pounds, 1 had gained 5 pounds and one was afraid so he hid it.

They were rewarded for what they had done. The 3rd one had his pound taken away and it was given to the one who had gained the most.  It was not the amount of money they had that got them rewarded. It was that they tried.  If the last guy had of tried he would have been successful.  Instead he allowed his fear of doing it wrong to keep him from doing anything.  The other 7 must have been ordinary people loving God and living life.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalms 1:3

If we do it for the Lord whatever "IT" is, it will prosper,
whether it looks like it or not.
We don't know what prosper is to God.
Sometimes it is the doing that makes us prosper.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.  Isaiah 55:8
Instead of working for the boss work for God.
Try cleaning house for God.

Live like we will die of old age, but be prepared to meet Jesus every day.

The saying is:  You don't hear Christians repent on their death bed,
or say I wish I would have spent more time at work.
At death if we are all wrong at the way we lived our life, the people who served God have nothing to lose.  But what about the ones who do not serve God?  What if they are wrong?
