David the man after God's own
heart
Never searched for the limelight.
. . . When he was crowned King he was out on
the mountain herding sheep
Had confidence in God.
. . . When he stood before Goliath the giant
he came in the faith of the Lord.
Didn't seek revenge.
. . . Saul was hunting him to kill him. David
cut off a piece of Saul's robe,
later repented
for it.
Didn't find someone to blame.
. . . He didn't blame anyone for
his sin. When Adam sinned he blamed the
woman, and
the woman blamed the serpent. And the serpent tried to
justify
it.
Was quick to repent.
. . . When he sinned he didn't try to justify
it. When Adam and Eve sinned
they hid.
If Adam and Eve would have been quick to repent, instead of blame
they may have been forgiven and not kicked out of the garden.
