Prodigal Son (a parable)
And he said, A certain man had two sons: And the younger of
them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth
to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the
younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country,
and there wasted his substance with riotous living. Luke 15:11-13
The son had turned his back
on his father, and had spent all of his inheritance. He was sure
his dad would not forgive him, but he figured if he humbled himself
and asked, maybe his dad would give him a job.
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a
great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell
on his neck, and kissed him. Luke 15:20
Dad was watching for his son.
God is waiting for us to come to Him.
Nothing we have done is beyond God's love.
